Objectives of the English Literary Association

1.Promoting Reading Culture'. We seek to instill a passion for reading among students, exposing them to a diverse range of literary works from various genres and periods.

2.Enhancing Language Skills. The association will conduct workshops, debates, and discussions to improve students' writing, speaking, and listening abilities.

3. Encouraging Creative Writing. We will organize writing competitions, poetry slams, and storytelling sessions to nurture the creative talents of our students.

4. Organizing Literary Events. The association will arrange guest lectures, seminars, and book clubs to facilitate intellectual discussions and interactions with prominent authors and scholars.

5. Participation in Inter-School Competitions. We aim to showcase the literary prowess of our students by participating in regional and national literary competitions.

Membership

All students of Polpithigama National School are eligible to become members of the English Literary Association. Faculty members with a passion for literature and language are also encouraged to join as mentors and advisors.
